Her Master’s Thesis, The Possibility of Robot Arbitrators, completed at the University of Law and awarded with merit, explores the future of International Arbitration Law in a world where artificial intelligence may take on the role of arbitrator. Her thesis posed bold, forward-thinking questions about fairness, human oversight, and ethical implications in automated dispute resolution.

During her master’s studies at UCLA, Nazli authored the academic article Cryptomnesia: Subconscious Copying, where she examined the legal dimensions of unintentionally copied works, particularly in music, when two artists independently and create nearly identical melodies, harmonies, and chord progressions by mistake. This work was inspired by her own background as a musician, and was later published on SSRN, receiving international academic attention. Her interest in the intersection of creativity and law continues to shape her practice in entertainment law today.

Nazli is also a trained pianist and composer, having completed her musical studies through the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music. Her years of composing and performing music have honed her analytical thinking and deepened her intuitive understanding of artists’ legal needs. Fluent in English, Turkish, German, and currently learning Spanish, Nazli embodies a truly global perspective. One of the most meaningful and personally fulfilling experiences in Nazli’s legal journey was handling her very first U.S. immigration case, their owns. She navigated the complex EB-1A “Einstein Visa” process for her husband, attorney and author Yavuz Usaklıoğlu, Esq. whose extraordinary abilities in digital law and authorship were the foundation of the petition. Nazli prepared and filed the entire application independently, and remarkably, the petition was approved in just 5 business days. This deeply personal success solidified her passion for immigration law and continues to fuel her dedication to helping others build new lives in the United States with hope, dignity, and expert legal guidance.
